Chillin with my Manganese Family!!! |
Status update: |
10-9-13: I started learning about myself today! Looks like I'm not one of the popular kids:( 10-20-13: I'm on a flight to London but the engines are made up of me! 10-23-13: I had my family reunion with Manganese, Technetium, and Bohrium! We had to stay away from Bohrium and Technetium because they were reactive! LOL!!! 11-4-13: I barely in any chemical equations. I usually only have Oxygen with me in a chemical equation!
|
Overview: |
I am a very dense element. It is very rare to find me. My skin color is silvery-white just like the Silver Surfer from the Fantastic 4. You can't melt or boil me in your house because those temperatures are up the roof! You mix me with other elements to create new substances. An example is that I can be alloyed with platinum to make a petroleum- reforming catalyst making lead-free gasoline. And beset of all, I'm so almost not reactive at all that a newborn baby can handle me! |

Relationship Status: |
I'm single! No one can react with me. |
Primary Relationship: |
None |
network: |
Metal |
valence electrons: |
7 Valence electrons |
reactivity: | Almost no reactivity. It may rust a little. |
state of matter: | Solid |
Location on Periodic Table: | Manganese Family, on 6th period, and a transition metal. |
Birthday: |
1925 |
Hometown: |
I was discovered in Germany by Ida Tacke-Noddack, Walter Noddack, and Otto Carl Berg |
Movies: |
"Rare Rhenium" By Surya Prabhakar; Men In Black 3- I was in the rocket towards the end of the movie! |
Activities & Interests: |
Propelling jets and rockets is my thing. I like to get paid a lot of money for my lead-free gas. I like to talk to Manganese over the phone. I am rarely in chemical reactions with others. Sometimes, I rust a little with moist air. That's about it! |
Places: |
|
10-10-13: Today I went to the gas station for some gas (duh!) and I found some of myself mixed into the gas! 10-23-13: I just saw a rocket launch at Cape Canaveral and I was used as the metal where the fire comes out of! 10-30-13: Today, I got my driver's license. When they took the picture, I was used in the flash lamp for the photo. 11-4-13: This me with oxygen in this chemical equation: 4Re(s) + 7O2(g) → 2Re2O7(s) We were in a moist place! |

I am used in the x-ray machine while lead protects the human being from getting radiated! |
I'm alloyed with tungsten to make this beautiful wire! |
Me and yttrium made a jet engine together! |
Me and hydrogen are used in this gas! |
Magnesium and me make this photographic flash lamp! |
Groups: |
I am a transition metal, part of the manganese family, and am in the 6th period. |
