Status update:

8/13: It feels lonely here...not alot in the University of Lathanide (UL). Wonder who's my roommate?

8/14: Wow my roommate is someone named Samarium. So far the classes here have been fun at UL. Wonder what Samarium is like? Hope he is someone that is talkative. I'm sure he is a lot of fun, that's what his family looks like.

9/20: I love it here. Just a lot of peace and quiet with my roommate Samarium. We have many things in common. We both are in the lanthanide group and we both are rare earth elements.

10/03: Figured out my formula is Nd2Fe14B

Overview:

A rare earth element, I am in the lanthanide group. I can tarnish in the air very easily and an oxide comes out. I help my friends in the world out by creating lasers, and slicing objects in half.

Information:

Relationship Status:

Unfortunately i am a loner and i have no one to react with because i don't have many people to react with as i am a rare earth element

Primary Relationship:

Samarium

network:

Metal

valence electrons:

reactivity: Not very reactive with the air
state of matter:  I am a solid.
Location on Periodic Table: Period 6, The group is Lathanide series

Birthday:

1885

Hometown:

Vienna, Austria

Movies:

I like any movie that involves me!

Activities & Interests:

I am a special element that is used to make lasers. I am difficult and are not very rare in the earth. I can combine with another element, Samarium.

Places

1. Lasers- I started in 1960 by a guy named Thomas Maidman.

2. Flint and Steel- I was used in the prehistoric ages, it helped start fire.

3. Powerful and special magnets- It was invented in 1983.

Neodymium is used to make lasers like the one in the picture.

This is a me in a magnet. I am used in wind turbines which can help them move. I can also remagitize old magnets and can also remove dents from a musical instrument.

I have some of myself inside this microphone and it helps project people voices.

This is me being used in many different ways with my buddy Samarium.

The blade in the knifes are made out of Neodymium.

Have you ever been mixed with another element to become a liquid compound?

Yes i have been mixed with water. I become neodymium hydroxide when I mix with water.

It help make the magnet layered

What element weakens you the most and why do you think that happens?

neodymium said

There is no element that exactly weakens Neodymium but if you make the temperature of it really high the neodymium will lose its magnetic force.

From about 175 or more it will lose it

Yo Neo, Can you fix my dented violin??, it says so I can also remagitize old magnets and can also remove dents from a musical instrument.
