Status update:

10/8- I went with some friends to play lazer tag today. Didn't turn out so great. No one wanted me on their team and i lost every time. I don't get how they found me so easily. I guess lazer tag just isn't my thing.

10/9- Today I helped someone. The doctors had me come in today and had me treat a persons tumor to try to kill it. I feel so accomplished.

Maybe soon i'll be known for curing cancer.

10/10- Today I just realized i'm really old. I was discovered in 1899. I'm almost 115 years old!

Overview:

I am a radioactive metal. I am almost 115 years old. I can be used to treat cancer cells. I can glow in the dark. And my melting point is 1924 degrees fahrenheit (wow that's hot!).

Information:

Relationship Status:

not good at making friends

Primary Relationship:

network:

metal

valence electrons:

two

reactivity: I react with oxygen to form actinium oxide.
state of matter:  solid
Location on Periodic Table: actinides or transition metal

Birthday:

July 14, 1899

Hometown:

France

Movies:

Radioactive starring Actinium

Activities & Interests:

When i am put under a black light i will glow. I am an unstable element and in order to become stable i have to produce energy. I can be found in uranium ores or i can be artificially made. I am not usually found in natural resources. I am reactive with Hydrogen to form actinium dihydride, Flourine to form actinium triflouride, Iodine to form actinium triiodide, Chlorine to form actinium trichloride, Oxygen to form diactinium trioxide, and Sulfur to form diactinium trisulphide.

Places:

I can be found in France (where i was first found), New York, and the United Kingdom.

  • atom and bonding diagrams - these will be done in class and will take time
  • fun images - pictures that contain the element

every photo must have a caption

- tag other elements in the pictures

If you had an illness like cancer i could help you because i can be used in medicine to produce Bi-213 which can be used as an agent for radio-immunotherapy.
